List Dir - Pretty self explanatory. dir in DOS, ls in *nix.
Proc List - List of the running processes, a hint of ps but specific to the device with a lot more detail.
Battery - Show numerical data on the battery.
- Capacity is the remaining charge (# of coulombs?) held by the battery.
- Charge current is the current flowing through the battery: + means charging, – means discharging.
- Battery Maximum is the total charge the battery can hold
- The others seems self-explanatory
Dump - Hex Dump of a file.
Keyboard - Show or hide the keyboard, used mostly in BabyFinder.
Dwn Many – Download many files
Ch Dir – Change directory using visual navigation
Memory – Display the device’s present memory usage
Sleep – Go to sleep mode. Equivalent to the normal Menu->Sleep command
Display – Show a text file. Reminiscent of type or cat. No good for binary files, use Dump instead
Copy B -> C – Copy the contents of the B drive to the CF card (C drive)
Nuddin – An unimplemented function that does nothing (nuddin, get it?) Patch your own nefarious functions here.
Delete – Delete a file. Equivalent to rm.
PRAM – Show PRAM. Cool, part of your encryption key is here!
Restart – Reboot the ebook.
Show Prefs – More of a hex-display, this slightly ugly function dumps the pref data to the screen
Many Res – Download many files to the pwd, perhaps?
Copy – Copy a file. Equivalent to cp.
Info – Display detailed information about the firmware, “BIOS”, CF card, and some configuration.
Shutdown – Shut off the device. Deeper than sleep.
Flush – Flush memory, perhaps? Can’t really tell what it does.
One note: Remember that tapping anywhere in the blank space is equivalent to choosing none of the options, and your command is cancelled if the device had been waiting for input. Good if you want to bail out of some command without actually deleting a file, for example.
